Sounil Yu is YL Ventures' CISO-in-Residence. In this role, he imparts his 30+ years of industry experience towards the firm’s ideation support of up and coming entrepreneurs, vetting candidates and concepts in the pipeline, amplifying the firm’s value-add services to its portfolio companies and publishing important thought leadership on the cybersecurity sphere’s most pressing topics.

Sounil proactively supports cybersecurity entrepreneurs at every stage of their development, advises early founders on the industry’s greenfield opportunities and helps YL Venture portfolio companies remove communication roadblocks with customers, refine their positioning, and validate their go-to-market strategies.

Previously, Sounil was the Chief Security Scientist at Bank of America, leading a cross-functional team focused on driving innovation and thriving startup culture to meet emerging cybersecurity needs, to serve as a challenge function, and to be a change agent driving unconventional thinking and alternative approaches to hard problems in security. In this role, he worked with many startups to focus their solutions towards hard problems in security and navigate them through the proof-of-value and procurement process.

Sounil is the creator of the highly influential Cyber Defense Matrix and the DIE Resiliency Framework. He serves on the Board of the FAIR Institute and SCVX, co-chairs Art into Science: A Conference on Defense and has 22 granted patents covering topics such as threat modeling, intrusion deception, endpoint monitoring, tracking media leaks, attributing devices to organizations, detecting logic bombs, and security portfolio optimization. In addition to CISSP and GSEC certifications, Sounil holds a master's in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and Economics from Duke University.

Esti Peshin is General Manager of the Cyber Division at the Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. At the beginning of 2017, under Ms. Peshin's management IAI's cyber activity was expended from a Directorate to a Division. She serves also as the Director General (pro bono) of the Israeli Hi-Tech Caucus at the Knesset, the Israeli Parliament. Prior to assuming these roles, Ms Peshin was the Managing Partner of ENP Solutions Ltd., a strategic management consulting firm; a Partner at Destino Ventures LLC, a private equity firm; and a Partner at Hope Ventures Ltd, a Distributor and Business Development house.

Previously, Ms. Peshin was the CEO of Waterfall Security Solutions, a provider of a foolproof physical security gateway for homeland security and missioncritical installations. Before joining Waterfall, she held an Account Director position in the Lawful Interception division of Verint Systems, Inc. She served 11 years in the Israeli Defense Forces, in an elite technology unit, where she was Deputy Director.

Nadav Zafrir is a Managing Partner at Team8, a leading think tank and company builder rethinking the process of accelerating companies' growth, that has launched 8 companies in the last 6 years.  Prior to founding Team8, Nadav was the commander of the IDF's intelligence unit.

Mor Levi has more than ten years of experience in cyber investigations, incident response, and SIEM/SOC management. She began her career as a team leader in the Israeli Defense Force security operation centre. Later, she led an incident response and forensics team at one of the big four accounting firms providing services to global organizations.

Daniel Ahn, Ph.D, CISSP is a Senior Vice President of Samsung Electronics and leads the Security Team at Mobile Communications Business. His responsibilities include rigorous risk assessment, security governance and innovative solution of mobile device, software and services.

He is a recipient of US Department of Energy Early CAREER Principal Investigator Award and Educator of the Year Award from Federal Information Systems Security Educators' Association (FISSEA).  Also, he served as Associate Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing, Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, Associate Editor of ACM Transactions on Information and Systems Security and Editorial Board of Computers & Security. He is currently the information director of ACM Special Interest Group on Security, Audit and Control (SIGSAC).

Also, he is a board member of FIDO Alliance and holds seven US patents on cybersecurity and privacy.

Lakshmi Hanspal is the Global Chief Information Security Officer of Box, a content management software catering to the vast majority of Fortune 500 companies. She is responsible for securing Box’s footprint, notably its data protection and privacy.

Prior to joining Box, Lakshmi was the Global CSO at SAP Ariba, where she protected the world’s largest dynamic digital marketplace with nearly $3 trillion in annual business commerce. Lakshmi has also held leadership roles at PayPal and Bank of America. Her career spans 23+ years in Information Security and risk management, with 16+ years in the financial and payment space.

Lakshmi is a persuasive executive who provides transformational leadership for security strategies with an emphasis on cloud security, risk, and privacy management. She is active in promoting Women in technical leadership roles and developing talent for diversity within teams.

Lakshmi is a graduate of Boston University with a Masters in Computer Science. She currently serves on the Advisory Boards for Cipher Cloud, HMG Strategy, and Cobalt.io.

Frank McKenna is the Chief Fraud Strategist for Ai firm Point Predictive. An advocate for fraud managers, fraud data scientists, and fraud fighters across the world. He
has dedicated his entire career to fighting fraud just like they do each and every day.  In that time, he has worked with over 200 banks, lenders, and finance companies, helping them
solve fraud issues that impact their customers. He is also the author of the blog FrankonFraud where he analyzes fraud trends as they happen globally and reports on their impact.

Menny is an internationally known cyber security expert and a business entrepreneur. He is a strategic adviser to leading enterprises around the world, as well as States and Governments and sits in the advisory board of several startup companies.

Menny is a co-founder of several companies, including Cytactic LTD - Cyber Security and Digital Transformation solutions company. Additionally, he is the CTO of the Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center at the Tel-Aviv University. Menny is a former CISO in the intelligence services of the Israeli Defense Forces (Capt. Res.) and worked at the leading Israeli banking group in various positions including the head of the IT Audit Department.

Tal Darsan heads the Cybersecurity Research Group at IBM Trusteer Labs. He has over a decade of experience analyzing fraud-related cyber threats and he's responsible for many in-depth malware investigations.
Prior to IBM, he worked at RSA Security, where he mainly focused on the analysis of banking malware. Darsan holds a bachelor of science in computer science with a specialization in cybersecurity.

With over 20 years of experience in various types of investigations, Yaron Hazan fills the position of VP Regulatory Affairs at ThetaRay.In previous roles Yaron has held positions such as Head of Compliance at HSBC Israel covering both Financial Crime Compliance and Regulatory Compliance, Compliance & Forensics leader part of the firm's global leadership at PWC Advisory Israel, Lead investigator for Terrorist Financing and Security cases at the Israeli police within the national unit for international and severe crimes, point of contact with FBI as well as an intelligence position in his military service.

Uri Rivner has been fighting online fraud and cyber crime for fifteen years, working closely with major financial institutions on developing long term strategies against cybercrime.

Prior to joining BioCatch as a co-founder and Head of Cyber Strategy, Uri served as Head of New Technologies at security giant RSA, where he was responsible for moving fraud and cybercrime fighting innovations from concept to reality. David DeWalt is a veteran CEO, advisor, and investor who has led companies, from startups to the Fortune 500, on a transformational journey of success.
